Over the summer we have been making some plans for the next school year which we are excited to tell you about. You will hear much more about some of these plans at our Orientation next Wednesday (August 25th), but I wanted to tell you about a new Student Council that will be forming over the next month.

We are looking for 6 or 7 high school students interested in accepting this leadership and service challenge by being part of the Student Council, and providing leadership for various Deluge activities throughout the year. If you are interested in being part of this group, please talk to your parents and then fill out a questionnaire we have prepared to help us assemble this group. A great need of any generation is men and women who will rise up to the challenge of leadership and allow God to use them to make a difference in the lives of others. High school is a time when God often begins to form the character in us and provide learning experiences that will prepare us for the challenges and fruitfulness he has for us in the future. Serving on the Student Council will be a context in which this leadership development can occur.
